Tim Wilson has been shooting professionally since 2007 in both New York City and Los Angeles, specializing in studio-based product and fashion work for Styleexpo Photography and as an independent architectural and real estate photographer. In 2017 he joined Lakeshore Learning where he is currently shooting the catalog, web, digital, and social media assets for the company.

Time permitting he revels in the process of long-exposure sea and landscape photography, which for him represents the therapeutic equal-and-opposite approach to the rigors of detail-oriented, strobe-based studio photography.

Tim grew up in Lansing, Michigan, studied some architecture in Ann Arbor, and moved to San Francisco in 1997 where he spent the next decade as a touring musician and worked in the Bay Area’s renowned restaurant scene before moving with his wife to New York City in 2006 where he began his photography career in earnest, living in Brooklyn and continuing to make music. Opportunities presented themselves and in 2012 they returned to Los Angeles where they lived for five years before moving to Irvine in 2017 where they now reside with their two children.
